Subsequently receiving I did not install on my trailer for several months until after I removed the fading stickers and re-polished the outside. I was very excited to buy and receive until I installed it and started using. I am not very happy with the photographic camera. I installed information technology on the back of my 24' trailer and tapped power from the pinnacle heart running light. The video display on my IPhone is grainy, choppy and freezes after about a infinitesimal of utilise. During daytime use I have to turn the running lights off then back on to reset the camera afterward about a minute of use. I cant see at all when I am backing upwardly if its night, even with the actress lights I installed on the dorsum of my trailer. I wish I was happier with the functioning. I do non recommend.

Wow - The VueSmartRV and Trailer Fill-in Photographic camera is exactly what I needed! It'due south like a Body-cam for my highwall popup trailer. I cannot see behind the trailer at all, when in reverse. This saves me from having to get out to assess and reassess my surroundings. The WiFi betoken easily connects to my Moto Z2 (Android) phone through the Hopkins Towing Solutions App. What I like about the camera is that it provides a clear picture of the view behind my popup and there's no delay or choppiness in its motion. I reversed the subclass so that the marking calorie-free is located under the camera. In my case, I benefit most from such a setup since my spare tire blocks the lower portion of my field of view on the screen.

I needed a backup camera for ram pu. y'all can't encounter bumper or dump trailer hitch. The mirrors don't piece of work. Most of time 99% of time I'm past myself. Then a photographic camera was the reply. This ane was the i I needed,it had a nite vision and color in daylight. With the magnetic base I can put it on tailgate and see all . Monitor just plugs in 12v assorey . its portable I can use on tractor as well. used it twice so far and it's Groovy.
Its a time saver and easy to use on any vehicle with 12v outlet.

This is a Christmas souvenir, and so I haven't had a opportunity to view or use this device. I accept several trailers and backing up to the hitch ways jumping in and out of the truck numerous times. Since my older truck ( 1979 F 150) does not accept backup cameras this will exist a nifty improver. The gift is for me and I'm anxiously awaiting Christmas.
This camera has worked out very well my son in law has a built in photographic camera on his new truck and this camera works just besides I'm impressed with how well it works. Thanks

The little hitch cam appears to work simply fine correct out of the box. I fired it up here in my office and was getting nice looking pics. And, my office is a fairly dimly lit room. So outdoors where I expect to ordinarily use the camera, I'd expect a very nice picture. I'one thousand using a Samsung Galaxy8 for the WiFi connexion, and that works well. More to you when I go effectually to using the new device in coupling up my trailer.
I stand past my earlier comment. This is a worthwhile addition to my trailering accessories! Adds a lot to the convenience of hitching upwards.

I could accept purchased the optional camera for my new Lance TC but decided to go with this for a lot less. AND information technology's a lot more versatile and has been a terrific help with other backing up duties. Very easy pairing with my iPad and so I get the big motion-picture show of what's going on.

My married woman rode with a friend for luncheon who had a new car with a back-up photographic camera. She was really impressed and was talking nigh buying a new motorcar to replace her 2011 Ford Escape that would have the backup camera. I found a video showing how to install the camera on an Escape by etrailer. I was impressed past the company and bought a unit. It arrived quickly and I was able to install information technology following the instructions I had watched. It took me a couple of hours to install, the hardest office existence fishing the cables to the rear of the machine. In one case installed it worked not bad. My wife is very, very happy with the install. She says she is much more than confident in parking her car. Thanks a lot. I would, and do recommend etrailer and the back up camera kit.
My married woman has had the backup camera for a year now and is very happy with information technology. She has to park in a tight parking lot for her business organization and it has been very helpful seeing what is behind her. Hooked information technology, up, charged it, and downloaded the wifi. It works fine. I only wish it came with an bending bracket because I have no correct angle metal on the dorsum of my trailer to adhere the magnets. Non a big deal considering I tin can make a correct angle metal plate and then all should work well. Great articulate picture show.

The camera is of high quality, as is the rearview mirror and monitor. I did have to return the first mirror considering the bracket didn't lucifer my 2013 Ram 1500's windshield mount, even though it was listed as a universal fit. The Ram has a triangular type fitting. I tapped into the contrary light wiring for ability. 50 ended up having to replace the incandescent reverse light bulbs with LED bulbs considering the monitor image flickered desperately until I installed the LEDs. I think this was considering the BCM (Trunk Control Module) got confused with the additional power draw. Since then the camera and monitor have worked flawlessly. It provides a great view backside the truck, even at nighttime. Because of the placement on the bumper it doesn't accept a adept view of the hitch ball, but I don't tow very often. Overall I have been very pleased and feel that the camera is well worth the toll.
The backup camera has continued to work flawlessly. I have been very pleased with my purchase. I very much like having the picture inside the rear view mirror, as that is what I naturally await at when backing, versus having to look down at the dashboard. I still highly recommend this backup camera system.

2007 Dodge 2500 with camper trounce. Read reviews. It is a neat photographic camera to help yous back up and hook upwardly trailer. NOT for rear view camera on road trip. If it is a bright solar day, you accept to concord monitor in the shade of cab to actually run across. Set camera, dorsum up, connect trailer, remove camera and return to box till side by side time. I installed a backup photographic camera on my 40' 5th wheel travel trailer. LOVE it! Dialed in the guidelines, flipped the prototype to mirror view and can nail the tight parking spaces like a professional. Lets me keep an eye on the bikes on the bike rack also. The night vision feature is peachy. The microphone/speaker works well when I need a existent person spotting (which is almost never now). At present my wife can but talk to me, no more yelling. Installation wasn't too difficult equally the cable fit behind the conditions strip along the corners of the coach. If you lot want to know what's in the bullheaded spot behind you, skillful choice hither. And the monitor has two more than video connections to use too. Might add a hookup camera next. Anyway, buy it.

I have a pull behind camper and I like to see what is behind the camper as I get down the route. The camera is wired to an AUX switch and then I tin have it on when I need it.
